New 'Friday the 13th' Prequel Series Gets the Green Light

Have you heard?! VARIETY first reported this morning to kick off Halloween Day. Executive produced by Bryan Fuller (Queer for Fear, Hannibal, Dead Like Me, Pushing Daisies), Victor Miller (Friday the 13th-1980), Marc Toberoff (Piranha-2010, Fantasy Island-2020, Hellraiser-2022), & Rob Barsamian (Crystal Lake Memories, Friday the 13th: The Game), "Crystal Lake" will serve as a prequel series to the original Friday the 13th movie (1980) and is being helmed by A24, the studio that brought you "X", "Pearl", "Moonlight", "Midsommar", & "Hereditary". Details about the new series are under wraps, but it has been given a full series order at streamer Peacock (NBC/Comcast). To me, this is such good news!! I have been begging for a prequel series based on everyone's favorite mother, Pamela Vorhees, for YEARS and I feel that streaming is the way to go. I'm a little disappointed about Peacock being the platform, I th...

Rolling Stone - 101 Best Horror Movies of All Time

LINK TO BEST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME - ROLLING STONE We're giving you a look at lucky #13 - Rosemary's Baby Mia Farrow is Rosemary, a young Manhattanite who adores her struggling actor husband Guy (John Cassavetes). They’ve just moved into a new apartment building, and she soon findis herself pregnant — and more than a little concerned, since she can’t quite remember how that happened. Rosemary begins to suspect that the people around her, including a devilishly nosy neighbor (Oscar-winner Ruth Gordon), are more concerned about the unborn child than they are about her. We soon find out why. An icy commentary on women’s subservient role in society, this adaptation of the Ira Levin bestseller draws its dark power from director Roman Polanski’s increasingly claustrophobic approach, which slowly smothers the imperiled Rosemary as she tries to break free of the unseen menace around her. Farrow has never been so riveting, so haunted, so utterly fearless, her character’s steely r...

Friday the 13th 40th Anniversary Limited Edition Steelbook | Blu-ray+Digital | 1980/2020

Well, is there any other film better than the original Friday the 13th to kick off with for my first post? Probably hundreds, maybe a slightly subjective choice even. 😀 And the great thing is... That's why movies are so great, that's why art is so great, it all provides a new and varying experience for every observer, possibly even each time you yourself observe it. But let's dive in, shall we? Day One - Introduction

Well, here we are. I've never used Blogger and I probably have no idea what I'm doing. That being said; Welcome to my new blog! Are you a cinephile? Do you collect movies? Are you most fond of the back covers where all of the special features are listed? Do you get tired of shopping online and having NO list of features or what's included in the edition you're looking at? Hate when there's no photo of the cover art? Then you're in the right place. I'm not the magic home video fairy, but I want to create a place where I put my hobby to use. I collect movies, especially horror movies. There are so many versions and editions out there today and it always burns when you buy a copy of something you already own just because you thought it might be a different version. Wamp wamp. Eventually I would like to include conversation and reviews sections as well. I know that sites like Letterboxd exist, but my main focus is the cover art and the special features, not just...
