Child's Play | Scream Factory Collector's Edition | Blu-ray | 1988/2016

Friends 'til the end! I knew the first Child's Play, and I'm almost sure I had seen the original two sequels, but it really wasn't until Universal took over the franchise and gave us Bride of Chucky that the wave of home video releases brought me to the true joys of Chucky. The original I remembered mostly for Dinah Manoff, who I was very familiar with from TV's Empty Nest. Once I moved to Chicago, I got more and more vested into the production and the shooting locations, including The Brewster which I lived next door to for a few years. I've probably looked up at that window more than anyone 😁. The original elevator and iron work are still present, which is very reminiscent of another famous filming location-the Bradbury Building in Downtown Los Angeles. This edition was given much praise from the media, the critics, and the fans for its depth of features and picture. Do you have this edition? Rolling Stone - 101 Best Horror Movies of All Time

LINK TO BEST HORROR MOVIES OF ALL TIME - ROLLING STONE We're giving you a look at lucky #13 - Rosemary's Baby Mia Farrow is Rosemary, a young Manhattanite who adores her struggling actor husband Guy (John Cassavetes). They’ve just moved into a new apartment building, and she soon findis herself pregnant — and more than a little concerned, since she can’t quite remember how that happened. Rosemary begins to suspect that the people around her, including a devilishly nosy neighbor (Oscar-winner Ruth Gordon), are more concerned about the unborn child than they are about her. We soon find out why. An icy commentary on women’s subservient role in society, this adaptation of the Ira Levin bestseller draws its dark power from director Roman Polanski’s increasingly claustrophobic approach, which slowly smothers the imperiled Rosemary as she tries to break free of the unseen menace around her. Farrow has never been so riveting, so haunted, so utterly fearless, her character’s steely r...
